On Marqués del Duero Street, 8, in the Salamanca district of Madrid, we have carried out the complete renovation of this semi-basement to build a cocktail bar, with the commercial name Ground floor.
The premises were originally used as a coal shed, a common use in the past for these lower spaces in many buildings in central Madrid. Therefore, The purpose of the work at the construction level has been aimed at recovering the attractive original brick factory with its small windows, all of this was buried in the various renovations carried out in the space over the years.
Kevo Jacoby, business partner, along with architect Felipe Sánchez They were responsible for both the design of the space and the construction management. In a brilliant exercise of using the qualities of the premises in their favor, they played with a decorative formula that created an eclectic atmosphere between the historical and the modern. Two styles, seemingly opposite, but which here manage to complement each other wonderfully thanks to the creativity of both professionals, who carried out under a working model "in parity and balance", as they themselves recognize.
Ground Floor's desire to awaken in the client a feeling of welcome and warmth from the moment they walk through the door This has been achieved in an extraordinary way through the decoration, lighting, furniture and the multiple design details distributed throughout this brand new cocktail and vinyl bar.
At Grupo Spin, we continue to build, we keep moving forward!
