At Spin, we are undertaking the complete renovation of the Fokacha restaurant, located at Plaza del descubredor Diego de Ordás, 3, in the heart of Madrid's Chamberí neighborhood. A project that includes surveying plans, opening and operating projects, obtaining building and operating permits, and carrying out the works.
On this occasion, the decoration is in charge of the Touza architecture studio, with extensive experience in the restaurant design sector, for whom Spin provides its technical and professional resources to achieve the required quality standards.
Creating different environments inside the premises is one of the challenges in the decoration of the project. and is carried out through the combination of different materials such as iron, listral glass, micro-cement and brick. Special mention should be made of the raised archway dividing the room, made of exposed brick, which gives the restaurant's interior a distinct personality.
To the restaurant A natural gas supply has been installed, after managing and obtaining the relevant permits, as well as all the infrastructure necessary for the installation of industrial cooling and heating machinery. Soundproofing work has also been carried out, initially on the existing floor, which was subsequently reinforced throughout the coffered ceiling with pressed wood chips. In areas with air conditioning units, a plasterboard ceiling has been installed to conceal them and prevent sound propagation.
Four different types of flooring cover the surface of the establishment: a porcelain floor for the work areas, a low-slip vinyl floor in the office area and, in the living room, a 22 mm thick oak wood floor alternating with a floor of combined checkered tiles.
The execution deadlines, which were eight weeks, have been conditioned by the events of COVID-19, however, This cause has not compromised the completion of the project.
